In case of insufficient snow, the artificially snowed cross-country ski trail in Saalfelden am Ritzensee (15 minutes away by car) can be visited.

Yes, there’s a free ski bus to Saalbach-Hinterglemm and to the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See. The bus stop is less than 50 meters from Schloss Saalhof. In the morning, it runs every 30 minutes; later, it runs hourly. If you want to go skiing at the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier in Kaprun, we recommend taking your car, since otherwise you’ll have to transfer in Zell am See. In addition, there are free parking spaces everywhere in the ski resorts.
