Biowärme Saalhof

As a farm holiday company, the environment is important to us, which is why we attach great importance to renewable energy

The heating and hot water in all rooms at Schloss Saalhof are powered by our farm’s own wood chip system “Biowärme Saalhof”. Of course, the wood chips come from our own production in our forests. The Biowärme Saalhof supplies the Schloss and 5 other customers in the immediate vicinity with its environmentally friendly district heating. The heating plant itself is energy self-sufficient: The power consumption of the heating plant is entirely generated from solar energy using its own photovoltaic system.

We generate most of the electricity for ourselves and our guests from solar energy and store it in power storage systems.

So you can turn on the hot water without a guilty conscience a little longer from time to time… because vacation at Schloss Saalhof means environmentally friendly, sustainable vacation!

Additionally, 2 charging stations for electric cars are available on our premises for our sustainably arriving guests.
